At the annual business meeting at the end of March  it was agreed that the committee for 2026/2027 will be – President – Elizabeth McGowan; Treasurer – Morag McKay; Secretary – Ishbel Anderson; committee members – Alice White, Helen McNeil, Nancy Fleming, Marjorie Lamb, Lalita Mishra.

All meetings will be held in the large hall in Strathaven and all will start at 2.00 pm.  All are held on a Tuesday unless indicated otherwise.

At the Guild meeting on Tuesday 24th March 2026 a presentation was made to Elizabeth McGowan in recognition of her years of service as President/Convenor. Elizabeth initially became President at the East Church in 1992 and served for 3 years. In 2002 she again took over for a year and then in 2007 took over for 3 years. She was the last Guild President at the East Church and in 2018 when Strathaven Trinity formed Elizabeth agreed to continue as President and has served since then – this takes her service as President/Convenor to a total of 16 years. At the business meeting today Elizabeth agreed to continue in this role and so the journey continues! Elizabeth has been a Guild member for approx 40 years.
