I know, I know….every where you turn there is this wee ginger wummin talking about giving and charity. You aren’t imagining, I really am back here again!😂
Sunday morning was Strathaven Trinity Parish Church. A beautiful building, filled with with warmth and, on this occasion, gifts! Can you believe the incredible donations I collected? It didn’t all fit in the van. We needed two cars AS WELL as the van to get all of these bags home. Trinity have supported us for decades. A long history of giving and altruism. Showing generosity for a long, long time. About caring for their fellow man. Being at Trinity for me is always a joy.
Having previously spoken to our contact Ruby Davidson about the number of Christmas gift parcel we would be distributing, ( 600+ ), she promised to get the congregation on board. To tell them we needed them now more than ever. I think she might have managed that. Don’t you? Christmas is , of course, never just about gifts, presents and shiny new things. But for our family, our customers? Christmas is one of the few times in the year that they can experience warmth, softness and joy. Trinity will have been a huge part of that happening this year. Much love my friends. Thank you for listening to my talk, despite my tiredness and wooly headedness from the night before. It’s always a pleasure to be with you. Thank you all so very much.

Note: Loaves and Fishes had to return to Trinity on Tuesday to pick up all the gifts from Glassford and Chapelton as they wouldnt fit in the van!
